General information
The eligible candidates for the BA admission exam are:
• the Romanian citizens having a high school graduation diploma or an equivalent diploma;
• the citizens belonging to the EU countries, to the CEE countries or to Switzerland under the same conditions as the Romanian citizens, in terms of the application documents and payment of the studies. The candidates will have to present the same content of the admission file as the Romanian candidates (in the foreign candidates’ case the diplomas’ equalization of the study documents will be made by the Ministry of Education);
• the foreign citizens coming from other countries than the ones mentioned before can apply and be students of the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca on their own financial account based on a letter of acceptance to study in Romania issued by the Romanian Ministry of Education.
In order to be admitted in any of the academic cycles taught in Romanian it is mandatory for the foreign citizens to present a Romanian language competence certificate issued by institutions habilitated by the Ministry of Education.
The age, male/female, ethnicity, mother tongue, religion, rase, political views or chronical diseases with no risk for the community (including AIDS) are not considered criteria in the admission or in the selection of the candidates/students.
Admission taxe: 150 RON.
Payment of the academic year for the EU, EEC and the Swiss Confederation's citizens: 3000 RON/academic year.
Payment of the academic year for the non EU, non EEC and non Swiss Confederation's citizens: 470 $/month

- 21st of July 2009 – Ist exam (mandatory drawing)
- 22nd of July 2009– posting of results, appeals and resolving the appeals
- 23rd – 24th of July 2009 - IInd exam – The selection exam for each specialty
- 25th of July 2009 – the IIIrd exam - Oral exam based on the portofolio containing the candidate's works
- 28th of July 2009 – posting the results
- 29th – 30th of July 2009 appeals
- 31st of July – 1st of August 2009 - resolving the appeals
- 2nd of August 2009 – posting the final results
