CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) is a regional program for academic mobilities developed since 1993 in Central and Eastern Europe. The Objectives of the Bologna Declaration for the European higher education are a priority of the Program.

The National CEEPUS office (NCO), assures the coordination and implementation of the progarm on a national level. In Romania, The National CEEPUS office is functioning within the Ministry of education and Research, the international relations department.

Financing

The financing of the CEEPUS activities is made based on a mutual financial support. The traveling costs are supported by the beneficiary's country of origin and the host country is giving the monthly scholarship, according to its own legislation. The percentage of the given scholarship in all the participating countries can be found on www.ceepus.info
Who can benefit from the CEEPUS scholarship?
The academic CEEPUS exchanges unroll within the academic network established between the universities during each year of studies. Therefore, the scholarships are given to the students or teachers from the universities which are part of the CEEPUS network. The University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca is partner within the HU 0021network. The instituions which are part of this network are:

How can you apply?

All the operations regarding the application and the scholarship can be seen on www.ceepus.info
- Register on the Program's site www.ceepus.info, fill in your data and you obtain and ID and a password.
- Fill in the electronic application form by selecting "Create a network mobility". To correctly fill in the form it is necessary to follow the instructions that you can find in the folder „Create new mobility application” which can be found on line (FAQ>How to create a mobility application) and which can be also provided by the National CEEPUS Office.
- After the registration, the application forms are analyzed by the coordinating professor from the applicant's university, by the National CEEPUS Office, by the coordinating professor from the host university, and finally the scholarship will be given by the host country's National CEEPUS Office.
- In each of this stages the candidate can visualize the stage his application is in by accesing www.ceepus.info using his ID and password.

CEEPUS calendar

The CEEPUS academic year starts the 1st of September and ends the 31st of August the next year.
- 15th of june is the limit to submit the applications for the 1st semester of the next academic year. The application form can be filled electronically on the program's page www.ceepus.info
- 15th of november is the limit to submit the applications for the 2ndsemester of the academic year. The application form can be filled electronically on the program's page www.ceepus.info
