Cyber-Museum of the Romanian Art universities. E-MART - Project description
-
The research made by the UAD Cluj-Napoca's research team within the project called "Cyber-Museum of the Romanian Art universities" left from the assumption that building a new museum in the XXI century, either real or virtual, is not justified in the absence of a sustained reflection, able to conceptually clarify and determine the place and the role of such enterprise in the world of contemporary art. The fact that this cyber - museum was made here gave the research importance having in mind that the Romanian cultural patrimony, in the terms of its diversity of presentation, suffers from a chronic underfinancing and of an insufficient atomization. As a result of the research, 3 essential elements were found to sustain the creation of a cyber - museum: the archive as the 1st step in the museum's creation, the museum itself as a presentation vehicle or as the work os art's staging and the conservation-restoration as a complex process necessary to the scientific investigation and saving the works of art which are part of the archive/museum.
